WHAT IS PRIVATE PILATES?
If you want a personally targeted experience, Private Pilates sessions are the way to go. By working with you on an individual basis your teacher will create tailored sessions to help you achieve your goals as quickly as possible. You will learn you how to perform all of the exercises correctly and safely with good technique. If you wish to share sessions with a friend we also offer duet Pilates sessions.
THE BENEFITS OF PRIVATE PILATES
The most obvious benefit of Private Pilates starts from having the teacher’s undivided attention, so that choices of apparatus, movements, and how-tos are all tailored to your individual needs and goals. A private session is the most effective way to learn, practise and perfect the Pilates movements and sequences that are ideal for your physicality.
Group classes are only more economical than Private Pilates once you have learned the correct techniques that ensure you get the full benefits of Pilates. Without this prior knowledge and training, the benefits from your practise in group classes may be compromised and progression of results diminished.
WHO IS PRIVATE PILATES IDEAL FOR?
Private sessions are ideal for anyone with a pre-existing condition such as back, neck or general joint pain. They are also extremely well suited for athletes & dancers who wish to improve performance and gain a competitive edge. Private Pilates is ideal if you:
- are recovering from an injury and have been advised to do Pilates
- have not done Pilates before
- have Pilates experience but would like to get more from your training
- would like a few sessions to help improve your technique
- are new to Pilates and would like to build confidence before group classes
- want a harder or challenging workout to supplement your current training

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO PILATES CLASSES?
The best thing to wear to Pilates classes is what you makes you feel comfortable and allows you to move freely. Most of our clients wear leggings or shorts with a t-shirt. One thing you won’t need is shoes. Pilates classes happen in socks or bare feet, whichever you prefer. We have male and female changing rooms with water fountains available.
